A recipient of an offer after a stellar camp performance, Nick Bingham knew that there was just something that stood out about Texas State. After taking some time to think about it and talk with family, the El Paso Franklin RB let the staff know his decision on Sunday.
"I knew from the start that I really wanted to come to Texas State. I just needed to talk to my parents and make sure they were okay with it."
Bingham is a big bruising RB who is more of a one cut, down hill type of runner. He uses his 5'11" 200lb frame very well and has a touch of nice speed that will help him hit the corner or bounce a run outside if he needs to. He reports 4.55 speed.
He's yet to set foot on campus, but that will change in the future. There were multiple reasons why Nick decided on the Bobcats, but one really stood out.
"I think the thing that pulled me in is that they want me to play the position I love and there confident in me," said Bingham.
Before his commitment is considered official, he has to speak with Head Coach Dennis Franchione. Once he does, it's a formality and he'll be the next pledge to say yes to the maroon and gold.
Bingham's commitment will be the 5th for Texas State this cycle and 4th on the offensive side of the ball.
