Bobcats in Top Two

The Bobcats love to have depth in the running game and this Dallas area prospect certainly has impressed the coaching staff enough to earn an Offer. The 'Cats are currently in his top two.

Raymond Sheard is a 6'1 200-pound RB with 4.4 speed, out of Arlington HS. Sheard is a straight ahead power runner who doesn't waste time dancing around and just gets moving north in a hurry.

" I'm a downhill runner who likes to hit the hole hard and get up the field in a hurry. I prefer to run through people rather than around them," said Sheard about his own style of play.

He holds four offers from Colorado State, Texas State, Boise State, and Oregon State. Sheard says that his two favorites right now are Texas State and Oregon State, in which he is both seriously considering visits to by October.

"I Just want to go to the school with the best overall package, being mainly the academics and the football program," said Sheard on what he is looking for in a program.

Raymond says that both schools are recruiting him pretty heavily. The Texas State staff calls him three times per week and two more times on the weekend through his coach in attempt to show just how interested they are. By The end of August we should know who Sheard chooses, as he plans to have a decision by the beginning of his senior year.
