"I love the game, I don't take plays off, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to win. I play very aggressive, and a big part of my game is blocking. I am used as a utility player all over the field because of my speed," said Smith about the type of player he is.
Quarterbacks Coach and CO-OC Mike Schultz came out to Ventura to see Smith in person, and liked what he saw.
"Coach Schulz said he really loved my speed and ability to get in and out of routes, he told me that i was one of the top players on their list," said Smith.
As for a decision, expect him to wait until the end of the season to make a commitment. Playing out the season and possibly raising his stock is something Riley is aiming for.
"I want to go to a school with a solid education system, that has a winning program, and where I know I will get playing time," said Smith.
Currently, Smith is rated as a two star JUCO prospect by our Scout.com National Recruiting Analysts.
