Target Looking To Visit San Marcos

This DFW-area wide out who picked up his Texas State offer recently has shown good interest and wants to visit San Marcos.

Alex Honey, a 6'3 195-pound WR out of Denton Guyer HS, is in the process of setting up a visit to Texas State.

Honey, a member of the 4A state champions from last season, picked up his Texas State offer at the satellite camp in Lake Dallas.

Alex is a big receiver with down the field ability and great hands to match.

Honey currently holds offers from Texas State and Air Force. However his in Air Force is low because of the requirement of of serving in the armed forces.

Other schools such as Oklahoma State, who's camp he attended in June, Louisiana Monroe, and Kansas State have also shown interest.

"I'm looking for a school where O can get a good education first, then secondly a program whose offense fits my style of play and has coaches that I like and feel comfortable with. I would also like for the school to be a reasonable driving distance from my house so I can come home whenever I need to," said Honey.

Honey is planning to visit Texas State with two of his teammates, Anthony Taylor and Derick Watson, as soon as next week.

Honey has no timeline for his decision and most likely will wait until all offers are on the table before he commits.
