O-lineman Enjoys Visit

Following Texas State's elite camp last week, the staff hosted some of their more high profile targets. This massive offensive lineman talks about his visit and says a decision is looming.

Recruiting has certainly picked up for Brazosport OL Bryce Wilds. In just a few short months, Wilds went from having no offers to having a half of dozen.

Now, he says a decision is coming.

"I want to make my decision by the end of football camp and before school starts," said Wilds.

The 6'7" 305lb OT says Texas State is certainly in the mix after visiting last week.

"It was a good visit," said Wilds. "I like the campus and I like the town of San Marcos."

Also in the mix are the six other schools that Wilds holds an offer from: Houston, Rice, UTSA, SFA, McNeese, and North Texas.

As of now, Wilds says he does not have a favorite stating: "I'm just weighing all of my options."

Wilds, who was an all district player in 2013 and was named the team's MVP, is your prototypical D1 offensive tackle.

"I'm a good pass and run blocker. I like to finish down the field and I'm always aware of where the ball is at," said Wilds.

Brazosport's fall camp begins August 4 and runs for a few weeks before school starts. Look for Wilds' decision then.
