Visit Hits The Mark

Following a visit to San Marcos this OT has some serious decisions to make. Another player who's decision time-line is approaching fast, has Texas State as one of his potential choices.

Evan Curl is a 6'5 285-pound Offensive Tackle, out of Flower Mound HS who bulldozes DE's into insignificance. Curl visited Texas State this last Friday and had seemed to enjoy his visit, this is what he had to say.

"It was a real good visit, I was really impressed with their facilities and overall I was really impressed with Texas State," said Curl. "Texas State is really growing and it would be nice to stay close to home."

Curl's offers include North Texas, Toledo, Fresno State, Tulsa, Southern Mississippi, Navy and Texas State. Curl expects to make only one more visit to UNT and plans to commit by mid-September to the school that best fits his criteria.

" I am looking for a school that has a good package of academics and football. I want a program that will push me," said Curl. " As an athlete all you do is compete and strive to be your best. At Texas State I would have some tough games and will have to push myself to compete at at a high level."

Curl says that he keeps in contact with offensive line coach Brad Bedell through Twitter, and says that they talk about every other week. Curl would not lead on to any favorites, however he did say that his visit made a strong impression on him. Evan will make the trip tomorrow to Denton, and whoever has left the biggest impression after that could possibly see themselves getting a commit.
