TXST In Top 5 For OL
Evan Curl has been a target of the Texas State staff since the spring and the coaches were able to get the 6'5" 280lb offensive tackle to San Marcos for a second time, and things went very well. "It was good, homecoming game and all. It was a pretty close game for a while, but eventually they pulled it out. It was a lot of fun," said Curl. He's close to double digit offers, but Curl does say that he has a Top 5 that are standing out: Navy, Texas State, Fresno State, Kansas State, and Oklahoma State are at the top of his list. With KSU and OSU yet to offer, they've remained recruiting him and have let him know that he's a possible option. Curl would like to make a decision soon, but at the same time take his visits and not commit too soon. His first official visit is lined up for Fresno State at the end of the month. It's only positive for Texas State that he's made it to campus two times in the last few months and Curl admits that he really likes San Marcos. "It's a gorgeous campus, I like the area, and the location is really good. People are really nice, it's definitely a college town and that's something I'm looking forward too," said Curl. Offensive Line Coach Brad Bedell is the lead recruiter for Curl.
