Commit #14: Bo Knows TXST

On Monday, Bryan London of Randolph High School was the first linebacker commit for TXST's 2015 class. On Wednesday morning, this 3 Star LB decided to join him.

Early on in the 2015 recruiting cycle, Bo Anderson was extended an offer. He was one of Texas State's first identified targets as the Bobcats were looking to land multiple linebackers for this class.

In August, right before the start of the season, Anderson told BobcatIllustrated that Texas State was on top for him and was leaning towards the maroon and gold. It took a little longer than expected, but on Wednesday morning, Anderson put a call into the staff and made his commitment.

"I just like the location of Texas State and the Coaching Staff. They've always been cool and real with me, anytime I've talked to them. They told me yesterday that one guy committed and there was a spot left and I was their top guy. I told them, sign me up, I wasn't going to lose that spot," said Anderson.

The Bobcats have had their eyes on Anderson since his freshman year when he was at Lindale High School. Back then, Brad Franchione who coached his older brother at Blinn, let Bo know that he would have an offer down the road.

"He liked the way I did things and he told me that he would offer me when the time came, so when my junior year came around, they offered me," said Anderson.

If this wasn't already great news for Bobcat fans, Bo added that he's done with recruiting and will be wearing the maroon and gold.

"I'm definitely a solid commitment. I'm definitely going to Texas State. They had faith in me early and I like that. I want somebody who wants me," said Anderson.

He chose TXST over offers from Eastern Michigan, Nevada, and Wyoming.

Anderson is a 6'2" 220lb OLB, who is rated 3-Stars by our National Recruiting Analysts, and is rated as the 101st OLB in the nation. He becomes the third 3-Star commit of the class.

Before we could even finish this story, news of Commitment #15 also broke. As was had just posted in our forum that Texas State was going after at least 1-2 more linebackers for this class, Kerry Walker of Killeen Shoemaker also pledged to the 'Cats. A direct source did inform BI that 3 LB's would probably be all that could fit, numbers wise, for this class.

Talk about Anderson's commitment in the 'Cats Den Insider forum.
