Basketball Adds Two

Wednesday marked the start of the basketball early signing period for seniors in the 2015 class. Texas State had two commits and both have sent in their letters of intent.

Head Basketball Coach Danny Kaspar added two new signees to his Texas State squad for the 2015 season. As expected, point guard commit, Ka'Juan Malveau and shooting guard, D'Angelo West, have signed their national letters of intent and are the first two members of the 2015 basketball recruiting class.

West is a 6'3" athletic guard who can light up the stat sheet. He can shoot from deep, has good handles and will slash to the hoop. He chose Texas State over interest from Butler, Southern Miss, and Western Kentucky. He will be suiting up for Trinity High School, out of Louisville this fall.

Malveau is a point guard who chose the 'Cats over offers from UTA, Northern Colorado, and interest from Virginia Tech and Creighton. He stands 5'11", shows good quickness, with the ability to penetrate, finish or kick.

Texas State has at least one scholarship left for the regular signing period and is expected to look for more talent and depth at the wing/small forward position, or to add some low post size.
