Will WR/TE Visit

This athlete can play both the tight end and wide receiver positions, making him a prime target to add to the 2015 class. We spoke with him and here is what he had to say.

Donta Thompson is a 6'5 205-pound TE who is a serious threat in the middle of the field with his size and speed (4.65). The coaching staff is looking to bring in a player of his skill set, and have moved him to high priority status.

Thompson holds several offers including, Illinois, Purdue, Arkansas State, UTSA, Colorado, and Texas State. He hasn't made any visits yet, even this late in his recruitment, but is scheduled to visit Purdue, Illinois, and Texas Tech.

"I'm looking for a school with a good atmosphere, where I feel comfortable and at home. I would love it if I could get some early playing time," said Thompson on what he is looking for.

Defensive Tackles Coach Kyle Tatum is the lead for Donta's recruitment, and according to Donta, has been starting to contact him more frequently within the last month. Thompson commented that the Coach Tatum is currently trying to arrange a visit to San Marcos, but no official date is set and he is waiting until after playoffs to schedule any more visits. >

"I like Texas State and I look forward to continue building a relationship with them," said Thompson.
