Ark. State Commit Still Listening

This Offensive Tackle out of Web City HS (MO), is committed to the Red Wolves of Arkansas State, but is leaving the door open to any late hitters. We have an update to see if TXST has an angle.

Dalton Ford is a 6'4 275-pound OT with great footwork and strength to move the trenches. Texas State made an offer to Ford just last week and is trying to make the late push to add the offensive lineman to their 2015 class.

"I come from a very run heavy offense at my school, so naturally I am a better run blocker, but I have worked very hard on my own to become a good pass blocker as well," said Ford about his strengths on the field.

There are several schools still in the hunt for Ford including, Illinois, Syracuse, Georgia State, and Florida Atlantic. Offensive Coordinator Jeff Conway is the lead on his recruitment and is doing all he can to make an impression late in the game. Conway has set up a home visit, while still keeping in contact with him through both Twitter and phone.

"Obviously, I want to be apart of a winning program. I want to be able to feel at home with the coaches and community, and I am looking for nice facilities and academics," said Ford.

He still maintains that he is solidly committed to Arkansas State, however he did also say that he will know for sure what he plans on doing before the new year rolls in. Coaching Staffs will have around a month to land a lasting impression on Dalton before the window of opportunity closes.
