For the second consecutive season, Texas State will not be invited to a bowl game despite being bowl-eligible. Texas State learned Sunday morning that they would not be invited by either the Armed Forces Bowl or the New Mexico Bowl. Earlier in the week, the GoDaddy Bowl (Texas State's likely destination) decided to invite South Alabama instead of the Bobcats. With the other bowls with Sun Belt Conference ties deciding to invite other schools, the only hope Texas State had was for an at-large bid. Texas State finished the season 7-5 overall and won their final two games vs Arkansas State and Georgia State. In 2013, Texas State went 6-6 on the season and were not invited to a bowl.
