2015 Eligibility Pipeline: RB's

We now take a look at the running back personnel that will be returning next season.

BobcatIllustrated is taking a look at how the roster will look next season with scholarship players. We're breaking down our "2015 Eligibility Pipeline" and now look at who's returning in the backfield for Texas State's 2015 season.

**Listed year of eligibility is for 2015**

Running Backs (4)

Robert Lowe Sr.
Tim Gay Sr.
Chris Nutall Sr. **
Stedman Mayberry So.

(**Pending Return)

Returning Stat Leaders:
Robert Lowe led all rushers last season with 1091 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 185 carries. Averaging just shy of 6 yards a carry. Out of the backfield he also caught 24 passes for 207 yards and 2 more scores.

Seniors Lost: Terrance Franks

Terrance Franks was arguably the fastest player on the team last season along with C.J. Best, and his home run hitting ability will be missed in 2015. Against Idaho Franks had three touchdowns on carries of 95 yards and two 75 yard runs showcasing his speed. On the season he had over 700 yards rushing and 8 TD's. He added another 3 touchdown catches, for a total of 11 TD's. His production, whether as a starter or reserve, will be sorely missed.

Auditions will take place during spring and fall camp, to try and earn a share of the backfield load with Robert Lowe next season. The favorites most likely will be Nutall and Mayberry, but the incoming freshman could get their opportunity to shine as well.

Current Commits (2):
Nick Bingham 5'11 200-pounds
Anthony Taylor 5'10 175-pounds

Taylor is a raw athlete that brings great speed, ability in open space, and has good hands catching the ball out of the backfield. Bingham is more welcoming to contact. His strong legs and great balance make him a very tough player to bring to the ground, added with 4.5 speed there is not a lot of weakness in his game. Both have been told by the staff that they will have a shot at seeing the field in their freshman year.
