DE/OLB Has 5th Offer

This DE/OLB product from Keller High School has picked up five offers and one is from the 'Cats. It's currently his only offer inside the Great State of Texas and we have an update.

Texas State recently reached out to Houston Miller and extended him a scholarship offer. Miller currently holds 5 offers including TXST's and his other four are from major power conference schools: Boston College, California, Duke, and Vanderbilt, have all extended.

“O-line coach Brad Bedell offered me a scholarship on Monday,” said Miller.

Miller recently went to Baylor’s junior day last Saturday and is playing on making a trip down to San Marcos to check the campus out either on junior day or during a spring practice. As a freshmen in high school Miller was able to check out Bobcat stadium and the campus, he liked what he saw.

“I got invited to junior day, I am looking at the dates right now. I know that there is three different junior days I can choose from. I am defiantly going to take a visit since it’s close to home, if not junior day ill go to spring practice. I’ve been to San Marcos one time when I was a freshmen, I saw the stadium and the campus and really liked what I saw. I heard they have re-innovated it, I’m excited to see it,” said Miller.

Other schools showing interest in Miller as well are Houston, North Texas, and SMU, have all recently reached out to him.

“UNT invited me to there junior day, but I don’t know if ill go to that yet. Houston sends me mail every now and then, and one of the SMU coaches came to visit me at my school,” said Miller.

Miller has great size for a D-1 prospect standing at 6’4” 230Lbs, runs a 4.83 and manhandles opponents from 2 different positions on the defense. Houston was able to take his team to the first round of the playoffs and ended his season with 83 total tackles, 54 solo, 3 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, 1 fumble recovery, 1 forced fumble, and 2 QB hurries.
