TXST Offers First Safety

This safety has been extended an offer from Texas State and could potentially be the first commitment of the 2016 class. We have an update.

Texas State has targeted their only safety so far in Jaron Bryant out of Duncanville High school located in the DFW area. Currently Texas State is the only school to offer him, but Texas Tech is also in the mix.

“Texas Tech has kept some contact with me, but no offer or a junior day invitation. I am going to Texas State’s junior day on the 28th . If it feels like home then I’ll probably commit,” said Bryant.

Now that Bryant has one offer under his belt, he still plans on attending some camps this summer in hopes of getting some more offers.

“I’m going to attend a couple camps around Duncanville this summer, like UNT and Houston. I am also going to the SPARQ combine at the AT&T Center,” said Bryant.

Bryant is currently preparing for his senior season by running track to improve his speed.

“Right now I am running a 4.57, but I am going to run the 100, 200 meter and the 4 by 1 relay,” said Bryant.

Jaron ended his junior season as a 2nd team all-district recipient and accumulated 4 interceptions, 30 solo, and 10 assistant tackles.
