Inside Track To DB
Baylen Buchanan is a 6'0" 178lb corner and is the godson of the Texas State's new DB coach, Ashley Ambrose. Buchanan is also the son of former NFL star, Ray Buchanan, who was a former teammate of Ambrose in Indianapolis and Atlanta. Buchanan is currently committed to Louisville, but still holds offers from Wake Forest, Iowa, Sanford, Mercer, Georgia Southern, and now Texas State. Louisville is his fathers alma mater, however he had this to say about what he wants in a school. "The school has to be able to provide a good education, because I want to plan for the future in case football doesn't workout. I have to fall in love with the environment, because the coaching staff can leave at any point. lastly I would like to see the field as soon as possible," Baylen said. Baylen has not set a date for a visit to San Marcos, however he did say that he would really like to set one up soon. With still plenty if time to make a decision, Texas State seems to have be in the mix for this target.
