DB Talks TXST Offer

Texas State has offered another Cen-Tex talent and he's very familiar with a 2015 Bobcat commit that could play an impact in his decision. We have an update on his recruitment.

Ian Peterson is a safety out of Cedar Ridge High School and stands at 5’10”, 180lbs, and clocks an impressive unofficial 4.25 40 time. Currently he holds 3 offers: Texas State, Houston and Kansas.

Peterson has already taken two junior day visits and plans on making a trip to Texas State soon.

“I visited Baylor a couple weeks ago, and Texas Christian University this past weekend. I won’t be able to make it out to the junior day on the 28th because of a track meet but I do plan on taking an unofficial eventually,” said Peterson.

Ian is going to continue working on his speed in the off-season by running track; he is going to run the 100, 200, 4x1, and 4x2 relay race.

Before his senior season begins, Peterson wants to make a decision on where he’s going to continue his football career.

“Before the season starts or during the summer I would like to have my decision made on what school I want to go to, “ said Peterson.

On a sidenote, Texas State 2015 signee Justin Gamble is good friends with Ian and in the end, his experience and feedback about the program could help gain a slight edge in favor of choosing Texas State down the road.
