WR Racking Up Offers

With one WR commit already in the fold, look for the TXST staff to nab at least one more wide-out for the '16 class. Stepping into the recruiting spotlight is this DFW 3-Star.

Not even a full two months has passed since National Signing Day and Adewale Omotosho is up to 11 legit offers. The 6'2.5" 190lb WR from Plano East High School is one of the more touted wide-receivers in the "Lone Star State" this recruiting cycle and has some heavy hitters after him.

Duke, Iowa, Boston College, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Washington, Texas Tech and others, are just some of the P5 schools who have already offered. You can also add Texas State to that already long long list.

The Bobcat Staff spoke with his high school coaches and let them know that if he wants a spot to be a Bobcat, he's got one. Recently at a Nike Combine in the DFW, he turned in a laser time of 4.56 to go along with his impressive frame.

"I haven't spoken with the staff yet, but my coach spoke with them and he told me about the offer. I'm still openly considering all the schools that have offered, it's honestly an equal opportunity," said Omotosho.

With an impressive group of programs already making him a target, Texas State still has a shot because of a possible connection.

"One of my teammates who runs track might be attending school there. He's told me a little bit here and there. I'm eager to learn about it (Texas State) and see what the program is all about," said Omotosho.

As for visits, "Audie" has already visited Oklahoma State and SMU earlier this spring.

The 1st Team All District 6-6A performer is looking for first and foremost, getting a great education and having the opportunity to excel on the field in college, and possibly one day playing on Sunday's. Any college program that lets him earn the chance to play early and contribute, will have a leg up. With offers from coast to coast, distance and location are not a factor for Omotosho.
