Louisiana LB Targeted
John Curtis High School sits very close to the banks of the Mississippi River, right before it feeds into the Gulf of Mexico. In this quaint suburb of New Orleans, you will find the Patriot's program to be one of the country's best, year in and year out. Manning the heart of the Patriot defense at middle linebacker is Nathaniel Evans (Nate), standing a stout 6'1" 235lbs, with good speed, as he recently turned in a laser time 4.73 at a New Orleans Nike Sparq combine. Texas State is the latest program to extend an offer as his current total is now up to 10 offers. Joining the likes of Louisiana Tech, Boise State, Louisiana Lafayette, Western Kentucky, and more. There are also some heavy hitters lurking, with Texas, Mississippi, TCU, Baylor, LSU and many more showing strong interest and contact. Already with plenty of options, Evans is keeping an open mind and would like to visit the campus to see just what Texas State is all about. "If a school is interested in me, I'm definitely interested in them. I want to go somewhere I'm wanted. I will be getting a visit in to Texas State. Everything Coach Ambrose has told me, has me interested. I want to get know more about the coaches, the players, and how it is up there," said Evans. So far this spring he's already visited, Texas, Ole Miss, La. Tech, Tulane, and ULL, all unofficially. With so many options on the table, Nate has already given thought to a time-line for a decision, but in the end, isn't quite sure yet. "I have thought about it, no official date or anything, but maybe at the end of the summer. I could visit and maybe some schools offer or not, and start narrowing down my list. I've also thought about signing day because you never what's going to come," said Evans. Whenever he decides, he'll have plenty of options to choose from. As a junior he racked up 132 tackles, 8 TFL's, 5 Sacks, 1 FF, 1 FR and 1 INT.
