TXST Gets Commit #7
The camp circuit is fully underway for Texas State as they make the trek around the Lone Star State hosting satellite camps in order to find every talent possible. At yesterday's camp in the West Houston area, a bit of a surprise jumped out, when El Campo running back, Alontae Harris, decided to inform the staff of his commitment. The 5'8" 180lb back has been recruited as a slot/all purpose type back. Someone who can get hand-offs out of the backfield, used in motion, possibly special teams, but the key is to get him into space. As a smaller back, he brings great agility and the ability to cut back at moments notice and then separate. He reports a 4.57 40 time on his hudl, but one look at his highlight clip and he seems to play much faster. We're tracking him down to get a few quotes on his decision and go more into detail on his commitment.
