"Chase" Is Over
Texas State Staff held a satellite camp at South Grand Prairie High School in the DFW Metroplex. DB Chase Napolean of South Grand Prairie HS, who already held a TXST offer, simply attended the camp, but did not work out. Getting the chance to talk to the coaches really made an impression on him, and it helped put him at ease with his decision. "Today I was at the camp, I had a talk with a few of the coaches up there. They had recently spoke with me before I went up to the camp. I like the feel of the coaches, I like their approach towards me about playing football there (Texas State). I really liked it," said Napolean. Chase waited until after the camp to break the news to the Texas State Coaches, and the staff responded with some serious excitement upon hearing his decision. Offensive Line Coach Brad Bedell served as the lead recruiter for Napolean. He reports a height and weight of 5'10" 195lbs, and clocked a 4.5 hand held 40 time. He chose the Bobcats over six other offers from a mix of FCS programs. Napolean maintains that he's committed to TXST, but he will be keeping the door open. As he gets closer to the end of his senior season, then he fully intends to put his recruitment to rest.
