Commit #19

On the verge of fall camp, Texas State picked up some more great news on the recruiting trail. Landing this talented running back from Keller High School.

Wednesday morning brought a really big surprise to the Texas State Coaching Staff. Tyler Tutt of Keller High School decided to inform the staff that he wanted to be a Bobcat and committed.

Tutt is the ideal running back with power and speed. His 5'11" 200lb frame runs right through arm tackles and first contact. He has no problem running in between tackles, but it's even more impressive when he gets to the outside to use his 4.5 speed.

Earlier this year Tutt turned in a laser timed 4.5 flat at a Nike SPARQ combine. Along with his power and speed, he shows above average agility in being able to change direction, and extend plays.

His commitment to Texas State jumps out as he chose the 'Cats over legit offers from Boise State, Iowa, Louisiana Tech, Nevada, and interest from Vanderbilt and Wisconsin. Scout.com National Recruiting Analysts rate Tutt a 2 Star recruit.

Tyler is commitment #19 for the Bobcats and is the second true running back commit of the class. As soon as we track him down for an update, we'll be sure to add some quotes.
