Another 2011 Commit For Texas Tech

Texas Tech got some good news after Saturday's game against No. 6 Texas, picking up its 20th commit for the 2011 class

LUBBOCK — Texas Tech football picked up its 20th commitment for the 2011 class on Sunday when Klein Oak (Spring, Texas) defensive tackle Jon Lewis gave his verbal commitment.

Lewis visited Tech for the weekend of the Texas-Texas Tech game and gave an excited "yes!" in a text message to me on Sunday. He's a three-star recruit and is ranked No. 40 out of the defensive tackles.

Lewis (6-3, 265) plays defensive end and defensive tackle for Klein Oak, but could make the move to the interior for the Red Raiders. Recruiting notes say, "He is pretty fast off of the ball and pursues the ball well down the line of scrimmage."

Check out film below on Lewis from's Alan Zepeda after Lewis wreaked havoc on Houston Cy Creek and North Shore.

I'll have more on Lewis later tonight after my interview with him. Check back at this story for the updated version this evening.
