Baucum's Bits: Oklahoma State Blows Out Tech

The Red Raiders continued their struggles against the No.2 team in the country in the Cowboys.

*Today's game captains were Oklahoma natives Tramain Swindall and Cornelius Douglas

*Today's loss gives Tech an 0-4 record at home in conference play and marks the first time since 1984 that Tech failed to win a conference home game.

*Gives Oklahoma State a 3-game streak in the series and 2 in a row in Lubbock after not winning here since 1944 previously.

*The 60-point loss was the worst in school history, the worst home loss prior came against Nebraska, 56-3, in 2000.

*Tommy Tuberville now has a 13-10 record as Tech's head coach and an 0-2 record against Oklahoma State.

*Texas Tech has committed 10 turnovers in the last four games and all of the turnovers have come at home.

*Tech's 49-0 halftime deficit is the largest since margin faced by a Tech squad since trialing 48-0 to USC midway through the 1995 Cotton Bowl.

*22 seniors played their final home games today: Donnie Carona, Aaron Crawford, Brett Dewhurst, Lonnie Edwards, Jared Flannel, Tanner Foster, Jacoby Franks, Jonathan Guerra, Bradley Hicks, Adam James, Harrison Jeffers, Justin Keown, Donald Langley, David Neill, Mickey Okafor, Sawyer Vest, Chris Perry, Scott Smith, Jesse Smitherman, Tyrone Sonier, Tramain Swindall and Evan Walker.

*Alex Torres has caught at least one pass in 22 straight Big 12 games.

*Texas Tech's game in Columbia against the Missouri Tigers will kickoff next week at 2:30 on ABC. It will be Tech's 11th game and the 10th consecutive television game. Don't have anything official but that's almost certainly a record.
