The Bears handed the Red Raiders their seventh loss of the season sending Tech home for the season. Here are some bits of information from what was truly a shootout.

* Tech finishes the season 5-7 and 2-7 in Big 12 play


* Worst finish in Big 12 Conference play since the creation of the Big 12. Tech has never lost 7 conference games in a single season


* After starting season 5-2, the Red Raiders lost 5-straight games and four of the five losses came by double-digits


* Bears were without Robert Griffin III after the half, despite this fact Baylor still put up 21 points in 13 minutes to pull away.


* Eric Wards 16 catches sets a new Texas Tech single game record, breaking the previous record of 15, which was set by Michael Crabtree versus UTEP in 2007


* Seth Doege had another 300-yard passing performance, which was his 9th of the year, and marks the first time since Graham Harrell that a Tech QB has had nine 300-yard performances in a season


* Eric Ward and Adam James both reeled in 100+ yards in tonight's game receiving which marked the first time that Tech has had two receivers go for more than 100 yards in a single game since Michael Crabtree and Danny Amendola did it against Oklahoma State in 2007




* First losing season since 1992 when the Red Raiders finished 5-6 overall


* First time Tech has lost seven games in a season since 1990


* First loss to Baylor in Big 12 play, last loss to Bears was in Southwest Conference play in 1995




* Loss snaps an 18-season streak of Bowl Eligible seasons, which ranked 4th among active NCAA streaks


* Snaps a 16-cosecutive season streak of winning seasons


* Snaps a 15-game win streak against Baylor
