Lady Raiders Jump to No. 10 in AP Poll

Following another successful week of games, the undefeated Lady Raiders have once again moved up in the polls.

For the first time since January 17, 2005, the Lady Raiders (14-0, 2-0) are ranked No. 10 in the most recent Associated Press Poll.

Texas Tech opened Big 12 Conference play this week with a home win against Oklahoma State on Wednesday,58-53, followed by a road win against Missouri on Saturday, 69-63.

The win in Columbia marked the first since 2004, and the first in the Kristy Curry as she took her squads there in 2008 and 2010 and walked away both times on the wrong end of the score.

Kierra Mallard led the way for the Lady Raiders this week scoring 33 points and 13 rebounds in the two wins.

The Dallas native leads the team averaging 14.1 points per game and 8.9 rebounds per game.

Tech is back in action this week as the Lady Raiders finish their two-game road swing in Oklahoma on Wednesday before returning home to face Kansas State on Saturday.
