Notebook: Oklahoma State 80, Texas Tech 63

Red Raiders struggles continued as Oklahoma State dealt them their ninth straight loss. Here are some notes and bits of info from the game.

* Texas Tech dropped its ninth straight game losing 80-63 to Oklahoma State

 

* Total Attendance: 7,408

 

* Red Raiders fall to a Big 12 worst 7-14 overall and 0-9 in Big 12 play, while the Cowboys improved to 11-11 overall and 4-5 in conference play

 

* Oklahoma State notched its first conference win on the road as it was 0-4 in games away from Stillwater coming into Lubbock

 

* Tech has lost by double-digits in eight of its nine conference games this season

 

* Markel Brown led the way for the Cowboys going 7-for-12 from the field going for 30 points to lead the team

 

* Two other Cowboys reached double-digits in scoring, Le'Bryan Nash (16) and Keiton Page (10)

 

* Jaye Crockett led the Red Raiders in scoring getting 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds, which marks his second straight double-digit performance and second straight double-double

 

* Other than Crockett two other players reached double-digits, Robert Lewandowski (14) and Ty Nurse (12)

 

* The Red Raiders finished 50% from the field and the Cowboys finished 45.5% from the field

 

* Oklahoma State finished 33-for-35 from the free-throw line, which gave it a 94.3% free throw percentage, while the Red Raiders went 15-for-23 from the line finishing 65.2% from the line

 

* Tech only committed 12 turnovers, but Oklahoma State scored 21 points off those turnovers while the Red Raiders forced just eight and scored just 11 off those mistakes

 

* Tech won the battle in the paint going for 22 points, and held the Cowboys to 16 under the hoop

 

* Teams were pretty even in the rebound battle as Tech grabbed 25 and Oklahoma State got 24

 

* Cowboys are back in action against Baylor on Saturday, while the Red Raiders travel to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns with first tip coming at 6 p.m. inside the Frank Erwin Center.
