The Red Raiders hot bats continued on Wednesday as they drove in a bunch of runs to run the Bulldogs right out of town.

* No. 27 Texas Tech defeated Alabama A&M 25-5 on Wednesday at Rip Griffin Park to complete the two-game series

* Tim Proudfoot hit his first career home run, which was a Grand Slam over the left field fence; Proudfoot also finished going 4-for-6 marking his first four-hit game of his career

 

* Proudfoot and Mason Randolph had combined 12 RBIs, each player with six each on the afternoon

 

* Jamodrick McGruder stole his 66th base of his career in the game tying him for 10th all-time in stolen bases in Big 12 Conference history

 

* Tech's team batting average jumped from .278 to .310 after this two-game series where the Red Raiders scored a combined 46 runs

 

* Alabama A&M's starter Sanchez Tucker left the game going 4.1 IP giving up 13 H, 16 R, 11 ER, 4 BB and just 2 K. Entering the game Tucker, on the season had allowed 13 R in 12.1 IP this season.
