The matchup: Texas Tech is back home after dropping two games in Brooklyn against Michigan and Rutgers. Finals are coming up and the Lady Raiders are looking to take momentum into the 11-day break with a victory over a SWAC team.

Junior guard Amber Battle is the only player in the Big 12 Conference averaging a double-double. Battle leads the league in rebounding averaging 10 per game. She is sixth in points averaging 17.2 points per game.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff enters Lubbock on a five-game losing streak. The Lady Lions defeated Philander Smith to open the season, but has yet to defeat a Division 1 team. The closest margin of defeat for the Lady Lions is a 20-point loss to then-No.21 Nebraska on the road. The team features just two seniors, but bolsters eight juniors.

UAPB player to watch: Junior guard Destiny Ham is the best all-around player for the Lady Lions. Ham transferred from Snead State College and averages 2.7 assists per game. She has totaled nine rebounds and averages 4.8 points per game on a team that that's highest amount of points scored in a game is 57.

Notable: Freshman guard Diamond Lockhart leads the Big 12 Conference in free throw percentage at 1.000. Lockhart is 13-13 from the charity stripe.

Quotable: "Without a doubt more athleticism, bigger players that you're playing against. You have less time and less space to make all of your decisions. So I know for our young freshman guards, passes that have gotten through here in the arena against a lesser opponent didn't work against a Rutgers or against Michigan, so those are things they have had a chance to study and look at on film."-Texas Tech associate head coach Matt Corkery on turning the ball over against better teams.
