Replenishing the Ranks: Tevin Madison

Texas Tech ended the 2013 season triumphantly with a 37-23 Holiday Bowl win over ASU. Now the Red Raiders must replace some outgoing pieces. The following is one in a series of updates on Tech 2014 recruits in the month leading up to National Signing Day. DB commit Tevin Madison was cleared by his doctor to resume workouts Wednesday after successful surgery and rehab for an injured triceps.

Texas Tech defensive back commit, Tevin Madison, is recovered from injury and is planning on taking his official visit to Lubbock this weekend with several other defensive prospects.

Madison suffered from a triceps injury his senior season and underwent surgery shortly after his season ended. After going through physical therapy, Madison was just released by the doctor Wednesday to return to the gym. Madison said his injury was a slight setback but he looks forward to getting back to work.

"I healed up pretty quick so that is a good thing. Not being able to work out the past couple months is a setback but I will get back in the gym and be on track for next season," Madison said.

Madison is a solid to Texas Tech and looks forward to visiting the campus this weekend for the second time. Although both South Florida and Southern Miss are still recruiting him Madison says there is no chance he will flip.

"I am 100% Texas Tech," Madison said. "There are other schools recruiting but there is no possibility for them."
