Three Tech Commits Make Scout 300

Scout.com released its final Top 300 list for the 2014 class on Wednesday and a trio of Texas Tech commits made it. A fourth Tech commit was bumped up to a four-star rated prospect.

Bishop Dunne defensive back Payton Hendrix, Argyle wide receiver Ian Sadler and Whitehouse quarterback Patrick Mahomes all made Scout.com's final Top 300 list for the 2014 class released Wedneday.

Hendrix, a four-star prospect, checks in at No. 176 and is the highest rated prospect of Texas Tech's class. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Semper Fideelis All-American is the No. 18 safety in the country.

Sadler jumped into the Top 300 for the first time Wednesday all the way to No. 254. The four-star prospect is the No. 46 ranked wide receiver of the class and was named Offensive MVP of the Texas Class 3A Division II state championship in December.

Mahomes finished as the No. 273 player of the class and the No. 20 quarterback. The four-star prospect also won APSE Texas High School Player of the Year honors.

Justin Stockton, the Cibolo Steele all-state running back and Texas Tech commit, was bumped up to a four-star recruit Wednesday, giving the Red Raiders four four-star recruits for the 2014 class.
