Irving athlete Michael Coley was one of several Texas Tech recruits making their official visit and he, for one, had a blast.
"I hung out with some of the team members, woke up Saturday and had breakfast," Coley said. "After that we all, all of the recruits and coaches and everybody, went to Main Event, then it was on to dinner (La Brisas)."
Though the 6-foot-2, 190-pound athlete played wide receiver in 2013 at Irving High School, Texas Tech, who offered him a scholarship in December, is recruiting him as a cornerback.
Coley, who is being recruited primarily by Texas Tech cornerbacks backs coach Kevin Curtis, said he hung out with Tech safety J.J. Gaines during the trip.
Coley said the Red Raiders are on top of his list, but he still plans to visit Louisiana Tech next weekend and will make his decision after that.
"Lubbock is a cool little town, there's nothing bad I can say about it really," Coley said. "Everybody is nice and friendly so, that was a good thing."
