Texas Tech commit Dakota Allen was motivated by his visit this weekend and can't wait to be apart of the action next season.
Dakota Allen is a three star recruit out of Summer Creek and is the only linebacker commit in the class of 2014. Allen visited Texas Tech this weekend and enjoyed every moment of it.
Allen's host for the weekend was sophomore linebacker Micah Awe. Allen said he got to spend time with lots of future teammates, coaches and everyone he will be around next season.
"My visit was everything I imaged it would be," Allen said. "We went out and had a great time. I didn't even want to come home actually."
There was no hesitation from Allen when asked if he is solid to Texas Tech. He is 100 percent and ready to get out and play football as a Red Raider.
"I'm excited for the football part. I know something great is going to happen while I'm there and that's what I'm ready for," Allen said.
There is no doubt that Allen will bring strength and energy to Texas Tech's front seven. Allen, who chose Tech over offers from Colorado, Houston, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma and TCU, said being the only linebacker of the class will be motivation for him.
"I don't think it adds pressure but gets me more motivated to show them why they made the right decision," Allen said.
