Williams Has Made Up His Mind

RaiderPower.com caught up with Missouri State-West Plains guard and Texas Tech offer Devaugntah Williams to see how his visit to Lubbock went. Williams, who is set to announce his commitment Monday, told RaiderPower.com his mind is made up.

Missouri State-West Plains
point guard Devaugntah Williams still plans to make a big announcement Monday.

He decided not to wait and get it over with Sunday when asked what can be expected when he makes his decision.

"That I'll be going to Texas Tech."

Williams took an official visit to the Texas Tech campus this weekend and was in attendance for the 59-53 win over Texas on Saturday.

The 6-foot-3 guard said he interacted with both players and coaches. His conversations with the players were positive and focused on the future.

"We were talking about how next year we're going to make a lot of noise," Williams said. Williams was hosted by three players, all starters.

"Rob Turner, Jordan Tolbert and Toddrick Gotcher." For the most part, Williams said the players hung out in the apartments and went out to eat. This could play out to be a huge commit for Tech as they try to acquire more talent at the point guard position.

UPDATE: Williams officially announced his commitment Monday via Twitter as he told RaiderPower.com he would.

He's the fourth commit of the 2014 class, joining signees Justin Gray and Zach Smith, along with Keenan Evans.
