Texas Tech will hold its annual pro day on Friday, March 14, where 13 Red Raider seniors will workout in front of NFL scouts with the hope of turning football into a professional career.
Friday morning's event will be held at the Football Training Facility/Jones AT&T Stadium and will be closed to the public.
The following is a breakdown of who will be participating on Friday:
Jace Amaro, Tight End/Receiver
Consensus All-American in 2013 … First Team All-Big 12 selection in 2013 … set the NCAA record in 2013 for most receiving yards (1,352) in a single-season by a tight end … led the Big 12 Conference with 106 receptions in 2013 … semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award and the John Mackey Award … ended his three-year career with 1,818 receiving yards on 138 receptions … logged 13 career touchdowns and averaged 13.2 yards per catch.
Terrance Bullitt, Linebacker
An All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection in 2011 and 2012 … played in 47 games during his four-year career at Texas Tech … posted 135 career tackles, including 16.5 tackles for loss … 16 career pass deflections along with two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
Dartwan Bush, Defensive Line
An All-Big 12 selection in 2012 and a member of the ESPN Big 12 All-Bowl team in 2013 … completed his four-year career with 97 total tackles, including 25 tackles for loss … logged 11.5 career sacks along with five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Ryan Erxleben, Punter
All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection in 2011, 2012 and 2013 … First Team Academic All-Big 12 in 2012 and 2013 … Ray Guy Award Watch List in 2013 … ended his career ranked fourth in punting average (41.9) … logged 191 career punts with a long of 60 yards set against TCU in 2012.
Olaoluwa Falemi, Defensive Back
Played in 24 games during his two-year career at Texas Tech … logged a career high eight tackles at Texas in 2013 … post a career best three pass breakups in a win at West Virginia in 2013 … totaled 53 career tackles and six pass deflections.
Sadale Foster, Running Back
Played in all 26 games of his two-year career at Texas Tech … set a career high for rushing yards (87) against Iowa State in 2013 ... posted a career high 137 all-purpose yards at Kansas State in 2012 … ended his career with 642 rushing yards on 120 attempts along with five touchdowns.
Kerry Hyder, Defensive Line
All-Big 12 selection in 2012 and 2013 … Bronko Nagurski Watch List … Outland Trophy Watch List … ended his career making 38 consecutive starts and 41 overall … played in 49 games during his four-year career … totaled 176 career tackles, including 34 tackles for loss … registered 11 career sacks, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Bruce Jones, Defensive Back
Established himself as one of the top corners in the Big 12 as a senior in 2013 … played in all 26 games of his two-year career at Texas Tech … posted a career high 10 tackles at Oklahoma in 2013 … logged 81 career tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 17 pass deflections.
Derrick Mays, Defensive Back
Saw action in 37 games during his four-year career … compiled 50 career tackles (40 unassisted) along with two tackles for loss … four pass deflections.
Tre' Porter, Defensive Back
An All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection in 2012 and 2013 … played in 44 games during his four-year career at Texas Tech … logged a career high 13 tackles at Oklahoma in 2013 … completed his career at Texas Tech with 206 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and 14 pass deflections.
Will Smith, Linebacker
2013 National University Holiday Bowl Defensive Most Valuable Player … member of the 2013 ESPN Big 12 All-Bowl team … 2013 Associated Press First Team All-Big 12 … All-Big 12 selection in 2012 … played in all 26 games of his two-year career at Texas Tech … logged 175 career tackles, including 12 tackles for loss … 4.5 career sacks.
Eric Ward, Receiver
Joins Michael Crabtree as the only two players to rank among the top five in Texas Tech history in career receptions, career receiving yards and career touchdown receptions... Ward ranks third in receptions (255), third in touchdowns (31) and sixth in receiving yards (2,863)... Crabtree finished his two-year career as the school-record holder in career receiving touchdowns (41), career receiving yards (3,127) and fifth in career receptions (231)... joined Detron Lewis as the only players in school history to record at least 800 receiving yards in three seasons... joined Michael Crabtree as the only players in school history to catch 11 touchdowns in back-to-back seasons.
Dennell Wesley, Defensive Line
Played in 35 games during his three-year Texas Tech career … set a career high in tackles against Baylor in 2012 with 11 … logged a career best 2.5 tackles for loss in a win at Kansas in 2013 and two sacks at Iowa State in 2012 … 54 career tackles … 10 career tackles for loss.
