Do we land another RB this class, and if so, who? (agriraider)
Yes, I would say for sure that is a point of emphasis for this class, though the more I watch his film the more I like Tech commit Corey Dauphine.
I would say the guy to keep an eye on is JaMycal Hasty.
Hasty, a four-star rated back from Longview, is a perfect fit for the system. He's very fast, shifty and is a good receiver out of the backfield.
RaiderPower.com spoke with Hasty in January and he said Tech was in his top five, then just last week Scout.com recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks caught up with him and his top five remained the same: Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas Tech, TCU, and Texas A&M.
Another guy to watch is Cedar Hill's Aca'cedric Ware. Tech is one of nine schools to offer the 5-foot-11, 195-pound back. He recently told HornedFrogBlitz.com that he is going to take his time, but I have heard that Tech is definitely in the mix.
Ware is one the guys high on my list to contact to see just where he is at with Texas Tech.
I'd like to know more about Breiden Fehoko. Specifically, if he's been on an unofficial visit here already and if not, if he plans on making an unofficial to see his brothers before he starts narrowing his list down and taking his official visits. (notnert427)
I believe this was answered in the thread, but I just wanted to confirm that it is my understanding that Fehoko is expected to be in Lubbock for the Spring Game. Aledo four-star receiver Ryan Newsome recently told RaiderPower.com reporter Cameron Brock he will also try to be there then, so it could be a big day.
There are others, but I'll have a detailed list closer to the game as it is constantly changing.
I would like to know what the odds are of us landing the Unicorn that is Chris Clark. (WreckEm11)
Unfortunately not good after he committed to North Carolina while visiting last weekend. He recently named his top 8 and Tech was on it.
Recruits decommit all the time, but he sure does sound like he loves Chapel Hill.
Now that Stidham's verbally committed, how will he deal with other schools trying to sway him from Tech being that signing day is a long ways away.(txtechr8r)
This is a good question. First off, you are probably tired of hearing me say this, but anything can happen in recruiting. That being said, I am 99% certain he signs with Tech in February. I can point to several tweets and comments he has made to that fact. Plus, when I saw him Friday at practice he was quick to throw up the "Guns Up" and decked out in red and black.
Other teams might send a flier, but usually when a guy is this solid, they'll move on to the next one, because they only have so much time. Trust me he's relieved to be done with it.
How is recruiting going?
And I have a question about Kingsbury Cemetery out by Evant. (fromcentex)
Haha. Alright fromcentex, I haven't broached the subject with the King himself, but HERE is some info about the cemetery.
