The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Ramsey, who has been clocked at 4.44 in the 40, is indeed still interested in the Red Raiders and plans on visiting Lubbock on Sunday.
Ramsey originally planned on visiting Texas Tech on March 14, but did not for an unspecified reason.
The three-star star prospect, rated by Scout.com as the No. 38 safety of the 2015 class, holds offers from Baylor, Oklahoma, LSU (visiting Apr. 5), TCU, Tech, Texas-San Antonio and Tulsa. Ramsey said Mississippi and Texas are both also recruiting him hard.
The 2013 first team All-District 25-5A performer tallied 117 tackles, three interceptions,nine pass breakups and a forced fumble last season.
