Longview lineman Broderick Washington confirmed to RaiderPower.com via text message he became Texas Tech's 10th commitment of the 2015 class on Tuesday.
Washington plays on the offensive line for the Lobos, but is expected to play on the other side of the ball for the Red Raiders. He is Tech's third defensive commit for the current recruiting cycle, joining five-star defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko and three-star linebacker D'Vonta Hinton.
At 6-foot-2, 285 pounds, Washington possesses the frame to play either side of the ball at the next level.
Washington committed to Tech over offers from Arkansas State, Houston, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette, New Mexico, North Texas and UTSA.
