Houston Jersey Village defensive back Christian Taylor is taking his official visit to the Texas Tech campus this weekend.
The Red Raiders have an advantage prior to the visit.
“They’re pretty much my No. 1 school right now.”
Taylor has received multiple offers from teams who have played in the Bowl Championship Series. He has yet to release a list of top schools.
“The schools I like the most are UCF, Louisville and Boise State.” Taylor said when talking about colleges other than Texas Tech.
Taylor stated he enjoyed meeting Kliff Kingsbury and other Texas Tech coaches in person at Tech’s Spring Westfield camp last summer. Trey Haverty and Mike Jinks are the two coaches speaking with Taylor the most.
“I talk with them the most and I feel that if I go there, I can play early.”
Jersey Village is currently 4-1 with a 3-1 record in district 17-6A. The district features 10 teams and the Falcons are currently tied for third with Cy Woods and Cy Ranch. Jersey Village has allowed the second fewest points in the district. Taylor and the Falcons will play Cy Creek 7 p.m. Thursday at Pridgeon Stadium.
