Wallace Talks Texas Tech Commitment

Neville (La.) defensive tackle Courtney Wallace became the 11th commitment and third defensive lineman of Texas Tech's 2015 class on Saturday night. RaiderPower.com caught up with the 6-foot-2, 310-pound three-star rated prospect late Saturday for the scoop on why he chose Tech and how it all went down.

RP: Congrats, man. How'd it go down, which coach did you commit to?

Wallace: I told coach [Kevin] Curtis first.

RP: Did you call coach Curtis or did he call you? What was his reaction?

Wallace: I called him and he was very excited.

RP: Yeah, I guess so. What made you decide to pull the trigger and commit tonight?

Wallace: I don't know, it just felt like the right time.

RP: What is it about Tech that makes it the right fit for you?

Wallace: I just have that feeling like, yes that's it!

RP: You mentioned coach Curtis. Describe what your relationship with him is like.

Wallace: Awesome. Our relationship is awesome man. He really makes me feel important.

RP: Have you visited the campus yet?

Wallace: Not yet
