Originally committed to UTSA, Shorts decomitted last week and then narrowed it down to Texas Tech and Texas A&M earlier this week. The 6-foot-2, 195 pound receiver had visited the Aggies campus three times and had yet to receive an offer. It took just one visit to Lubbock for Shorts to commit to the Red Raiders.
“Yes I had a great time!!! Great people out here,” Shorts said via text message Sunday.
The district 16-6A leader in receptions (49), receiving yards (706) and touchdown grabs (9) recently said the scarlet and black was his leader because “Tech shows me the most love.”
During the visit, Shorts tweeted some updates of the trip.
It seems Kliff Kingsbury and company continue to make good impressions on visiting recruits.
