Shorts Prepping for Next Level

Texas Tech three-star wide receiver commit Furquan Shorts is ready to get to work in Lubbock with the rest of the 2015 class. RaiderPower.com caught up with the Humble Atascocita athlete for a question and answer session.

RP: What have you been up to? What are your plans for the offseason?
Shorts: Running track. Getting bigger and faster for college ball.

RP: How’s the recruiting process going right now? I know your committed to Tech but is anyone else still recruiting you?
Shorts: I closed my recruitment!

RP: Okay. So, lets talk about this recruiting class. What is the potential of the 2015 wide receivers as a group?
Shorts: We have a lot of potential to be good. We have a lot of wideouts who can make plays and we have two QB’s that can get us the ball.

RP: What is your relationship with the guys in this class? Do you talk to them often?
Shorts: Yes. I talk to Corey (Dauphine) a lot, the running back from Port Arthur, and the big guy [Breiden Fehoko]from Hawaii.

RP: Haha, sweet. Can you talk about how it feels to be apart of this 2015 class?
Shorts: Feels good to be part of something that’s gonna be great! I just hope everything works out. Would have been even better if Jarrett [Stidham]would have stayed but I wish the best for him.

RP: And I know it’s a semester away, but how excited are you to get to Lubbock?
Shorts: I'M VERY EXCITED! Cant wait to get out there and start my new life!
