Washington to Visit Next Month

RaiderPower.com caught up with Longview lineman Broderick Washington, who committed to Texas Tech back in September, for an update. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound prospect is expected to play on the defensive line for the Red Raiders after primarily playing offensive line in high school.

The following interview was conducted through text messaging:

RP: Are you still committed to Texas Tech?
BW: Yes sir!

RP: How's your relationship with some of the coaches and other recruits? Have you been speaking with them a lot?
BW: It's pretty good. I talk to them almost everyday and me and the other recruits talk on Twitter.

RP: Any chance you'll be around the campus soon?
BW: I take my official on the 23rd.

RP: Sweet! You're being recruited as a DL correct?
BW: Yes sir.

RP: What's your experience on that side of the ball? I understand you were primarily on offense in high school.
BW: I've played defense most of my football career. I had just started playing offense my 10th grade year.

RP: Which side do you prefer? Why?
BW: Defense and because the defense wins championships and offense sells tickets.

RP: What are your plans for the spring semester? Doing any other sports?
BW: Powerlifting
