In fact, Dunn said he came close to pulling the trigger on the spot.
"The visit was wonderful. When I first got on campus it was amazing, I felt like it was a place I could stay for a long time," Dunn said. "Texas Tech is number one right now and it's going to take a lot for someone to take that spot away. I was very close to committing yesterday and right now I do not have a timetable for deciding."
The 6-foot, 183-pound receiver said what stood out most was how the team practiced as a family yet was still very competitive, adding it was very energetic. He also really enjoyed interacting with the coaching staff.
"It was great I love their personalities," Dunn said. "I talked to coach Chev, coach Jinks, and coach Kingsbury--they are amazing people."
Dunn, rated as a three-star prospect by Scout, said he and the coaches also talked a little bit about how they see him fitting into the scheme.
"They would like me to play inside and out," Dunn said. " Anywhere on the field is fine with me as long as it's at receiver."
Dunn caught 50 passes for 1,234 yards (25 yards per catch) and 11 touchdowns last season. He also holds offers from Cincinnati, Illinois and Stephen F. Austin.
