National recruiting analyst Greg Powers describes Vasher as a “receiver who can stretch the field and is a valuable weapon in the deep passing game.”
Vasher holds offers from Houston, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Mississippi State, Texas Tech and SMU, Colorado and North Texas. The Red Raiders were the first to offer Vasher and according to him they are still the team who is recruiting him the hardest.
Vasher added he is in contact with the coaching staff but primarily outside receivers coach Darrin Chiaverini almost everyday. They talk about just normal everyday things going on according to Vasher.
Vasher has also been learning from former wide receiver Eric Ward, who recently started coaching at Rider High School, his alma mater. Vasher said he has always looked up to Ward.
“Me and him are close. When he was in high school, I was in elementary school I was the ball boy for their team and he was my idol. I was always around him so we’ve gotten pretty close,” Vasher said.
Another thing that attracts Vasher to Tech is recent quarterback commit Jett Duffey, the Mansfield Lake Ridge dual-threat QB who committed to Tech last week.
"I like him, he can really throw that ball and he's a dual threat quarterback. Him and I could be a nasty combination," Vasher said.
As for his recruitment, Vasher is leaving things wide open right now. He said he has not started narrowing things down just yet.
He added he plans on making a visit to Texas Tech during the season, but has not set up an exact date.
