All three visited earlier this month and committed shortly after.
Martin, who is the latest Cibolo Steele (TX) product to pledge to the Red Raiders, visited Lubbock on July 17, picked up an offer during the visit and announced his commitment a week and a half later.
Martin said Texas Tech originally recruited him as an athlete, but then said they would give him the opportunity to prove himself at quarterback.
In fact, one of the reasons Martin pulled the trigger with Tech is his trust in head coach Kliff Kingsbury as a quarterback coach.
“That’s another reason why I did it [committed] because I know that he was a great quarterback in his college years and went to the pros, so I feel like he could lead me in the right direction,” Martin said.
Missouri City Ridge Point (TX) offensive lineman Travis Bruffy was next to commit, just hours after Martin on Monday night.
Bruffy told RaiderPower.com he knew after visiting Tech earlier this month he had found his knew home.
"I can't put a pinpoint on it. It's just, you go up to Lubbock and you're gonna fall in love with it. If you look at Lubbock from the outside in, it looks like some ghost town. But if you look at Lubbock from the inside out, you're gonna fall in love with it. Once I saw it from that perspective, it was just amazing. There's no place I'd rather be."
Zach Adams announced his decision the following morning via Twitter. The 6-8, 320-pound behemoth from Fredericksburg (VA) Riverbend visited the Tech campus on July 14 and two weeks later committed to the Red Raiders.
A Texas Native, Adams told Scout's Michael Clark the opportunity to return home played a major role in his decision.
”Originally, I’m from the Houston area,” he said. “So, it’s close to home and I feel very comfortable there. My entire family is still there, so that’s great. Now, they’ll get to watch me play in college."
With five commitments in July and 12 overall so far this summer, Texas Tech now has 23 commitments for the 2016 recruiting cycle, the most in the nation. The thought is the Red Raiders will look to sign around 28 recruits this class so stay tuned to RaiderPower.com for the latest recruiting news.
