OL MADISON AKAMNONU
Akamnonu is up to 305 pounds, and has shown a lot of ability in camp according to offensive line coach Lee Hays, but has a ways to go in terms of being decisive.
CB PAUL BANKS
The junior college transfer is in the mix at corner and has been running with the two's some.
WR TONY BROWN
Brown has had perhaps the best camp of any freshman despite being one of the last to arrive on campus over the summer. He will play early and often.
IR KEKE COUTEE
Another standout freshman receiver in camp. The East Texas product has drawn rave reviews from pretty much everyone associated with the team. (Pictured below)
RB COREY DAUPHINE
This physical specimen has flashed several times in camp according to running backs coach Mike Jinks, but a loaded backfield means he'll likely redshirt.
OL CONNER DYER
Dyer is a talent but needs to add weight and is expected to redshirt.
OL TRACE ELLISON
Ellison has been getting looks at a couple spots, but has been seen taking reps with the two's on several occasions which is a good sign.
DL BREIDEN FEHOKO
The headliner of the 2015 class, and an early enrolee who is already getting reps with the starting defense. A lot is demanded and expected of Fehoko, but so far he has delivered.
IR JONATHAN GILES
The high school QB was expected to redshirt due to the position change, but word is he's performed well enough in camp he might see the field as early as the opener against Sam Houston State on Sept. 5.
DL LONZELL GILMORE
His athleticism has been on display at times, but he needs to hit the weights and the playbook, so he'll likely redshirt.
LB D'VONTA HINTON
Hinton was recently seen practicing without pads but it doesn't appear to be because of anything serious. He will likely be needed at some point this season.
CB JAMILE JOHNSON
The big corner has been taking some reps with the ones recently and is definitely competing for a spot in the two-deep.
OL EMEKA OKAFOR
This ginormous graduate transfer from Houston has been working at several spots along the line and will at the very least be a welcome safety valve and perhaps a masher in heavy formations.
IR QUAN SHORTS
Shorts impressed over the summer, but a groin injury has slowed his progress in fall camp.
OL PAUL STAWARZ
The junior college transfer has missed most of camp due to a leg injury, but returned this week and performed well so far.
OL TERENCE STEELE
This athletic lineman has had to adjust to the Air Raid after primarily run blocking in high school, but his future is bright according to several coaches.
S CHRISTIAN TAYLOR
Taylor has been practicing, but he's trying to climb what has become a pretty deep depth chart at safety.
WR DONTA THOMPSON
This monster receiver is the big target Tech coaches have missed since Jace Amaro left for the NFL. Thompson has impressed so far in camp, is expected to play a lot this season.
DL BRODERICK WASHINGTON
Considered a project after mostly playing offensive line during his high school career, Washington has turned a lot of heads since arriving on campus, especially due to his strength. He's had his freshmen growing pains early in camp, but he may be a major coup.
OL CODY WHEELER
Wheeler has missed time due to a left wrist injury, and is behind some veteran standout performers on the depth chart.
