Texas Tech running back DeAndre Washington rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown Saturday and has gained 212 yards on just 25 carries so far this season for an impressive average of 8.5 yards per tote.
Heading into the 2015 season Washington had rushed for 1,919 yards in his career, including 1,103 in a breakout individual performance last year. After two games he's now up to 2,131 career rushing yards which has him situated just 118 yards behind Shannon Woods (2005-08) for 10th on the Red Raiders' all-time career rushing list and just 149 yards behind "The Golden Palomino", Donny Anderson (1963-65) for ninth.
