Texas Tech guard Toddrick Gotcher has been on fire this season.
The fifth-year senior from Garland averages 11.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and a steal per game, but it’s his marksmanship from downtown which has really opened things up for the Red Raiders.
Gotcher leads the team and is fifth in the Big 12 in 3-point shooting at 45-percent, having knocked down 27 of his 60 attempts in 12 games this season. He’s been singeing the net especially lately. Gotcher has shot 54-percent from behind the arc nailing 22 of his 41 attempts in his past seven games--all wins--since Dec. 2..
His elevated play is one of several reasons the Red Raiders are 11-1 overall, 1-0 in the Big 12 and currently riding a 10-game win streak.
On a side note, Gotcher also already holds two degrees from Texas Tech: a bachelor’s in exercise and sports science and a master’s in sports management.
