Angleton safety Quincy Addison announced his commitment to Texas Tech via Twitter on Saturday.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound safety pledged to the Red Raiders during his unofficial visit to the South Plains. He's the Red Raiders' first defensive commit of the 2017 class and the fourth overall pledge of the cycle joining Frisco offensive linemen Jack Anderson and Dawson Deaton, plus Cibolo Steele Xavier Martin.

Anderson and Deaton are among a handful of other prospects also visiting Lubbock this weekend.

Addison, who was offered by Tech just a couple weeks ago, chose the Red Raiders over an offer from Texas State.
